2019-3-12 The volume mixer won't save settings, at least for system sounds. I'm trying to have it saved lower so it doesn't startle me when I get a new Skype message. 2019-9-5 Well, we're using IAudioClient to open up the stream -- we don't make any calls directly to set the audio volume, either using waveOutSetVolume or the IAudioStream /IAudioEndpointVolume calls. We do all the mixing internally to the system and send out a pre-mixed stream to Windows. This is done that way for multi-platform support.
